Who is Sai Baba ?
Shri Sai Baba was A Saint. He spent 60 years of His life in Shirdi. He Lived there like an ordinary man. Very few villagers recognized the Almighty power of Sai Baba. However, in the beginning, Sai Baba had to face bad criticism and rudeness from some Villagers.
Afterwards, miracles of Sai Baba circulated all over places nearby. Thousands of Pilgrims visit Shirdi daily to offer their prayers. Earlier years Sai Baba was staying in an abandoned Masjid. Sai Baba later named this place as Dwarkamai meaning wish fulfilling Mother. Sai Baba took Mahasamadhi in the year 1918. At present His mortal body rests in a new temple which is called Samadhi Mandir or Main Sai Temple.

Sai Baba International Airport is just 15 Kms from Sai temple. Aurangabad is 120 Kms, Pune is 210 Kms and Mumbai is 300 Kms from Shirdi. Most tourist traffic invades from Pune airport.
Besides, Shirdi is connected with four railway stations. Manmad is 65 Kms being busiest railway station connecting all corners. Nagarsol is 45 Kms connecting southbound trains. Kopergaon is 18 Kms on Pune route. Sainagar Shirdi is two and a half Kms being nearest to Sai temple.

Must visit temples in Shirdi are Samadhi Mandir (main Sai temple), Dwarkamai (Masjid) and Chavadi. Moreover, on every Thursday Palanquin Procession is held in Chavadi. Other temples are Maruti temple, Gurusthan, Nandadeep, Dutta Mandir & Museum. Also, there are Ganesh, Shani and Mahadev temple near Gate No-3 of Samadhi Mandir.
